Scripture:
Genesis 16:13 – “She gave this name to the Lord who spoke to her: ‘You are the God who sees me,’ for she said, ‘I have now seen the One who sees me.’”
Reflection:
Hagar’s encounter with God reminds us that no pain goes unnoticed. In her isolation and despair, God saw her. For trafficking survivors, that same truth brings life—He sees their suffering, their silence, their scars. And He sees you, too. Our God is personal, attentive, and near to the broken.
As followers of Christ, we’re called to reflect His heart—to see what others ignore. When we choose to open our eyes to injustice, we join God in His redemptive work. Seeing leads to compassion, and compassion leads to action.
Prayer:
Lord, thank You for being the God who sees. Open my eyes to notice the hurting and unseen around me. Help me respond with compassion, courage, and hope.
Action:
Pray today that God would show you one person who feels unseen. Reach out with a simple act of encouragement—a message, a meal, or a prayer.
Your partnership helps bring light into some of the darkest places in our nation. By standing with us, you join a movement that rescues, restores, and equips communities to fight human trafficking and exploitation.
