What's Next? Walk Humbly

Scripture Reading

“He has shown you, O man, what is good;
And what does the Lord require of you,
But to act justly, to love mercy,
And to walk humbly with your God?”
— Micah 6:8

Devotional Thought

Last week we talked about starting in the middle — choosing to love mercy before we try to fix, lead, or correct anything. Mercy softens us. Mercy resets us. Mercy puts our hearts back in alignment with the grace we’ve received.

This week, we take the next step: Walk humbly.

Humility isn’t weakness. It’s clarity.
It’s seeing yourself accurately before God — not higher than you are, not lower than you are, but truthfully.

Humility says: “I need God in every step.” “I don’t have all the answers.”

“I’m not the hero of the story… Jesus is.”

When mercy has softened your heart, humility becomes the natural posture.
You begin to hold your opinions more loosely.
Your conversations become gentler.
Your pace slows so you can listen.
You stop trying to win arguments and start trying to win hearts.

Humility makes room for God to move.

And here’s the beautiful part:
Walking humbly isn’t something you do once — it’s a daily rhythm.
It’s choosing to surrender your plans for His.
It’s refusing to rush ahead.
It’s acknowledging that the work we do — whether in ministry, missions, family, or our community — only has power when it flows from God’s strength, not our own.

In our work with Free International and Say Something, humility is essential. We step into spaces of pain, brokenness, and vulnerability, not as experts, but as servants. We walk low so Jesus can be lifted high.

Mercy shapes our heart.
Humility shapes our walk.
And from that posture, true justice finally becomes possible.

Reflection Questions

  1. Where do you tend to rely on your own strength instead of walking humbly with God?

  2. How has mercy softened your heart in a way that prepares you for humility?

  3. What would change in your relationships if humility guided your words and reactions?

Prayer

Lord, teach me to walk humbly with You. Strip away pride, hurry, and self-reliance. Help me listen, slow down, and surrender each step to Your leadership. Let humility shape my heart so Your will can shape my life. Amen.

Here’s how your contribution makes a difference:

Your partnership helps bring light into some of the darkest places in our nation. By standing with us, you join a movement that rescues, restores, and equips communities to fight human trafficking and exploitation.

What Your Support Makes Possible:

✅ Leading mission teams into cities most affected by trafficking, bringing hope and practical resources.
✅ Hosting school assemblies that reach thousands of students with life-saving messages about bullying, exploitation, and suicide prevention.
✅ Training teachers and administrators to recognize warning signs and protect vulnerable youth.
✅ Providing resources, aftercare, and long-term hope for survivors of exploitation.

Why Your Support Matters:

  • For Individuals: You can be part of the rescue. Your monthly or one-time gift turns personal compassion into tangible impact, helping survivors and protecting the next generation.

  • For Churches: Partnering allows your congregation to live out the Great Commission by standing against injustice, mobilizing mission teams, and supporting community restoration in cities like Las Vegas and Detroit.

  • For Gyms & Fitness Communities: Fitness for Freedom events allow gyms to raise awareness, host competitions, and show that strength is not just physical—it’s about defending and restoring lives.

✅ All contributions are tax-deductible and processed through Say Something at the link below
