Courage in the Face of Fear

Scripture Reading:

“Be strong and courageous. Do not be afraid; do not be discouraged, for the Lord your God will be with you wherever you go.” – Joshua 1:9

Fear has a way of paralyzing us. It whispers lies, magnifies obstacles, and convinces us that we’re not enough. But God’s Word reminds us that courage is not the absence of fear—it’s choosing to trust Him in the midst of it.

When Joshua was called to lead Israel into the Promised Land, the task before him was daunting. Yet God’s command was clear: “Be strong and courageous… for the Lord your God will be with you wherever you go.” The same promise holds true for us today.

In our journey of faith, we are often called to step into the unknown—whether it’s speaking truth, standing for justice, or serving those in desperate need. Ministries like Free International and Say Something embody this kind of courage daily as they bring light into places marked by darkness. Their work reminds us that courage doesn’t come from self-confidence but from God-confidence.

This week, ask yourself:

✅ Where am I allowing fear to hold me back?
✅ What step of courage is God asking me to take?
✅ How can I lean on His presence instead of my own strength?

Remember—courage isn’t about never feeling fear. It’s about knowing that God is with you in the fight. When you choose faith over fear, you reclaim your identity as His temple, a vessel of His strength and light.

Prayer:

Lord, thank You for promising to be with me wherever I go. When fear rises up, remind me that Your presence is greater than anything I face. Give me courage to follow You boldly and to shine Your light in dark places. Amen.

Here’s how your contribution makes a difference:

Your partnership helps bring light into some of the darkest places in our nation. By standing with us, you join a movement that rescues, restores, and equips communities to fight human trafficking and exploitation.

What Your Support Makes Possible:

✅ Leading mission teams into cities most affected by trafficking, bringing hope and practical resources.
✅ Hosting school assemblies that reach thousands of students with life-saving messages about bullying, exploitation, and suicide prevention.
✅ Training teachers and administrators to recognize warning signs and protect vulnerable youth.
✅ Providing resources, aftercare, and long-term hope for survivors of exploitation.

Why Your Support Matters:

  • For Individuals: You can be part of the rescue. Your monthly or one-time gift turns personal compassion into tangible impact, helping survivors and protecting the next generation.

  • For Churches: Partnering allows your congregation to live out the Great Commission by standing against injustice, mobilizing mission teams, and supporting community restoration in cities like Las Vegas and Detroit.

  • For Gyms & Fitness Communities: Fitness for Freedom events allow gyms to raise awareness, host competitions, and show that strength is not just physical—it’s about defending and restoring lives.

✅ All contributions are tax-deductible and processed through Say Something at the link below

Together, we can fight for freedom, protect the vulnerable, and bring hope where it’s needed most.
