Scripture:
Matthew 11:28 – “Come to me, all you who are weary and burdened, and I will give you rest.”
Reflection:
Those who fight for freedom often carry heavy burdens—stories of pain, endless needs, and emotional fatigue. In the pursuit of justice, it’s easy to forget that rest is not weakness—it’s worship.
Jesus invites the weary to come, to lay down what they’ve carried too long. True rest isn’t found in a vacation or a break from purpose; it’s found in His presence. He restores what the work drains.
For every rescuer, advocate, or intercessor, this verse is a lifeline. Rest is part of the calling. When you pause to rest in Christ, you’re reminded that the battle was never yours to win—it’s His.
Prayer:
Lord, I come to You weary and burdened. Teach me to rest in Your presence. Renew my strength so that I can serve from a place of peace, not pressure.
Action:
Schedule one intentional time this week—an hour, a walk, or a moment of stillness—to rest with God. Turn off distractions and let Him refill you.
